    Frequently Asked Questions

Since its founding, EW has invested all donor funds directly in programs. All administrative overhead, communications, postage and the majority of travel costs have been absorbed by its volunteer staff and board members.

As we build the basic administrative support and technical infrastructure needed to increase its capacity, and leverages its recourses to advance the PIE Model empowering all sectors to co-create a sustainable world, (reducing burden on non-profits and government), these are values EW will keep.

EW pledges to invest 90% of EW non-earmarked (general) funds in EW global health, economic and environmental programs where they are needed most and will have the greatest impact. Learn More

10% of unrestricted funds will be reserved as unrestricted to assure ability to cover administrative and operating costs and leverage special opportunities to make sustainable investments.

Where ever we can avoid duplicating transport, communication, and any other overhead cost, we cut it. Where we can gain the help of a competent intern or volunteer rather than pay a salary we do. In global programs, we work through existing infrastructures of local implementing partners, thus eliminating major overhead costs. Internally, our staff & volunteers work out of home offices as much as possible, and use free internet phone service, such as www.skype.com.

EW USA's cultural programs, Think-tanks, workshops and conferences are self-sufficient or are income generating.
