Believing in Humanity – where the solution begins

Empowerment Works stands on the conviction that personal creative will is the single most powerful untapped social, economic, or natural potential force to change the world.

Consider that the challenges of an entire species - ie. resolving Poverty, AIDS, Climate change - rests upon a tiny minority of citizens working in humanitarian organizations and governments. Also consider that while these people are often paid the least for their credentials, or not paid at all, they go as far a risking their lives to help improve our world. On one hand, we could call this a gross injustice. But, wait, don’t these victims of save-the-world-itis still say they love what they do- and do whatever they have to do in order to keep doing it? We’re not just talking about people working to save the world, but countless individuals working to improve their communities, building community- but why?

We believe that our innate human tendency is to respond with compassion to the suffering of others. Naturally, people behold powerful creative will to contribute to society.

A primary opportunity to change the world exists within each of us. However, without the hope, tools or belief that we can make a difference; most of humanity simply turns the blind eye, and this opportunity is lost.

EW works to ignite our inherent nature to achieve a secure future by empowering diverse sectors of society with a variety of educational programs and participation opportunities. However, to apply such tools, we must first realize how powerful we are – both individually and collectively. Science proves that our feelings, our thoughts and our intentions have a direct impact on our physical reality. Therefore, we see acting with awareness and building global unity consciousness as a vital component of social change.

By believing in ourselves as an integral part of a mutually supportive web of life on this planet, we take the first step to achieving a secure future.
